please stop normalizing toxic romantic relationships. it’s not healthy for your partner to upset you and behave recklessly as long as he apologizes later. apologies mean nothing after he has repeatedly disrespected you. kisses and hugs mean nothing after he has repeatedly disrespected you. public displays of affection mean nothing after he has repeatedly disrespected you. promises mean nothing after he has repeatedly disrespected you. it is not okay for him to hurt you physically or emotionally because he said he’ll change. he hasn’t. he won’t. get out now because THIS! IS! NOT! NORMAL! other couples do not go through this. other couples did NOT have to go through this to be in a happy, wholesome place.
he is manipulative and selfish and he is making you weak every time you agree to stay. even when you feel like “maybe this time, things will be okay,” they won’t – that’s what he wants you to think so you never slip from his grasp. you know as well as i do you’re 50 times overdue for “this is his last chance.” this is not normal.
help me get this around so my friend can see how many people agree with me and that she needs to walk away from her toxic relationship
Can I just point out that in both these cases, Laura shows concern, be it on or off camera? Everyone is losing their minds by calling Laura the bad guy, saying she doesn’t care. She does. It just so happens that she has a one track mind, and as we all know very well, the most important thing in this series is the story, which is solving these different mysteries that continue to show up as the series continues. This show wasn’t created for us JUST to see Hollstein fluff or any fluff at all (which is nice, obviously), but to see the developments of this wacky university and the people involved in it.
Can I also add that Laura made sure she reassured Carmilla not too long ago in episode 5? Insisting they talk about it even after Carmilla said ‘we don’t have to talk about this’ because she knew Carmilla was upset. Like I realize they have new stuff they need to work out, but let’s not discredit Laura’s past efforts and concern here.
And not for nothing, but I think Laura needs some reassurance after these last couple episodes too. This is Laura ‘I know you’re not just doing this for me’ Hollis. The same Laura who once tweeted this:
Now we have Mattie literally saying these doubts she’s always had (that she’s not good/interesting enough for Carmilla, that Carmilla will eventually get bored with her and get over her). And I’m willing to bet that is all getting to her.
JP is occasionally inhabiting Perry’s body in an attempt
to eventually gain full control of it, à la Voldemort and Ginny in The
Chamber of Secrets. JP is evil and wants a body/to rule the school. Mattie recognized Perry because JP made Perry kill the newspaper staff and somehow Mattie saw it, or footage of it, or something! Or even more likely still, she knew JP and just recognized his vibe. She’s going to shed light at some point on who JP really is.
JP is glitching because he’s getting closer to having full control of Perry’s body!
He wasn’t a victim who was trapped in the library. It was a prison sentence because he did something heinous.
